It appears as if the Mellow Mushroom in Decatur has indeed closed for good. The restaurant started getting press late last week because corporate allegedly shut it down without warning employees. A Facebook group called Stop Mellow Mushroom Decatur From Closing has been set up to "let Mellow Mushroom know that families and community in Decatur are more important than brand expansion," but Decaturish quotes the pizzeria location's owner as saying, "For now, we're closed."
