One of the city's most popular local coffee shops, Octane Coffee is well known as one of the best spots in Atlanta for meetings, getting work done, and a damn fine espresso. By 8:15 on a recent Friday morning, customers were queuing out the door in the line for drinks at the West Midtown location, where all manner of caffeinated beverages as well as XK Macarons, Sublime Doughnuts, and light fare from in-house chef Julia Schneider are available. On this particular morning, baristas Tyler Brown and Brandon Camarda were holding down fort; both took home awards at a barista pouring competition earlier this spring. Below, more images of the coffee, the people, and the space.

Octane Coffee's West Midtown location is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Owners Tony and Diane Riffel also have outposts in Grant Park, Buckhead, and Birmingham in addition to a pocket bar in Midtown and a Nashville spot on the way.
