Tin Roof Kitchen seems to be experiencing all the growing pains of a young restaurant. According to owner Robyn Rowles, photographer turned restaurateur/cook, customers were so excited about the concept, a safe place for celiacs like Rowles herself, things got busy faster than expected. She assures me that she has recently instituted prep lists and dish photos to boost kitchen consistency and staff training to address service issues.
If you want to get a taste of Indo-China and are up for a trip to the suburbs, hop on GA-400 North and visit Inchin's. It consistently delivers quality, authentic dishes in a casual, vibrant environment, and it's a lot closer than flying 17 hours to Kolkata.
THE ELSEWHERE AND THE BLOGS: Marie, Let's Eat had decent barbecue at Burnt Fork in Decatur and found a nice menu of teas at Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party. Hot Dish review enjoyed health-conscious cuisine at True Food Kitchen. Atlanta Restaurant Blog dined on bountiful lamb chops at Blue Ridge Grill. Friday Date Night was pleased with sautéed trout and a roasted chicken sandwich at Miller Union.
