Chef Asha Gomez will open her new globally inspired dining concept, Spice to Table, on August 1. "Spice to Table is finally a reality, and I can't wait to share what I am calling an 'Indian patisserie,'" says Gomez. "All bread will be baked in-house, and I am loving how the pastry and flavors are coming together."

Spice to Table's opening menu will showcase a variety of dishes, including samosa pockets and spiced-cashew crostats for breakfast. Lunch will feature offerings such as vegetable-rice pulao and curried-chicken-stuffed bread. Gomez will bake house-made pastries, chocolate chai bon bons, and her Amma's seven-spiced carrot cake for dine-in or take-away. Tea and chai will be available to drink in addition to signature Spice to Table coffee.

Located in the Old Fourth Ward Studioplex development off Auburn Avenue, the restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Sunday.
