Westside's Sundown Series; the Giving Kitchen Benefit

WESTSIDE — Between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, Atlanta-based musical group Moontower will kick off the fourth installment of the Sundown Series on the steps in front of Yeah! Burger at the Westside Provisions District. In addition to a screening of "Muscle Shoals," a documentary about the Alabama town and music legend Rick Hall, various tenants will provide special deals such as free drinks at Billy Reid. LITTLE FIVE POINTS — Atlanta-based singer, songwriter, and baker Doria Roberts will celebrate her 12th Annual Birthday Party Show at the Variety Playhouse on Saturday, August 9, with a full band and a silent auction to benefit The Giving Kitchen. Tickets are $17.50 in advance, $20 the day of, and doors open at 7 p.m. with the show to follow at 8 p.m. All proceeds will go to The Giving Kitchen, an organization that benefits members of Atlanta's restaurant scene who are in need.
