Linton Hopkins at Preserving Place; Summer Shade Festival

WESTSIDE — Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch will be at the Preserving Place on Thursday, August 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to lead a class on pickling white peaches. For $75, attendees will work directly with Hopkins and take home pickled white peaches. [EaterWire]

SANDY SPRINGS — Bruegger's Bagels has shuttered in Atlanta for the second time. After re-entering Atlanta in May of 2012 for the first time since the '90s, Bruegger's closed on July 25.
