Spice to Table, chef Asha Gomez's new Indian patisserie, is officially open in Old Fourth Ward's Studioplex development. For those mourning the death of Cardamom Hill, it's now possible to get a taste of Gomez's cuisine at breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast features a variety of crostatas, quiches, and samosa pockets, and lunch offers Indian soups, salads, and hoagies. A selection of sweets is available all day, and beverages include coffee and hot or iced chai. "All bread will be baked in-house," Gomez said in a recent statement, "and I am loving how the pastry and flavors are coming together."

In addition to the dining options, the restaurant will soon have spices, teas, coffees, jams, and pickles for sale. Spice to Table is open six days a week: Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Breakfast is served from open until 11 a.m., and then lunch is served until closing time. Not happy with just early-morning and midday meals? Gomez's Krog Street Market venture, Spice Road Chicken, will open later this year.

Take a peek at Spice to Table's opening day menu below. Have you tried it yet? If so, let us know what you think in the comments or via the tipline.
