Seafood and Music Fest; Fortune Cookie Contest

RIVERDALE — The City of Riverdale will celebrate Labor Day with the fourth-annual Seafood and Music Festival from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 30. The festival will feature live music from acts such as Donna Allen from The Voice and a DJ tribute celebrating Michael Jackson's 56th birthday. Seafood will be brought in from the coast with chef demonstrations throughout the day. General admission is $5 for those 13 and over, and children 12 and under get in for free. [EaterWire]

CITYWIDE — On Saturday, September 13, Doc Chey's Noodle House will host a fortune cookie contest with a variety of prizes. One in four cookies offers the chance to win a variety of prizes, and one random cookie at each location will be redeemable for a GoPro camera. Participating locations include Morningside, Grant Park, and the new Emory Village Doc Chey's Dragon Bowl. [EaterWire]

WESTSIDEPeridot West, an interior design shop in Westside, will host "Art For Action" to benefit Art on the Atlanta BeltLine on Wednesday, August 20.
