Tom Murphy, who established Murphy's in Virginia-Highland more than 30 years ago, has previously discussed the idea of opening another restaurant. His plans are coming to fruition with Paces & Vine, which will open in the old Garrison's Boiler & Tap space in Vinings this September.
Ian Winslade, who has served as executive chef at Murphy's since 2011, will run the kitchen and create a menu that is similar to Murphy's, but has its own twists. Winslade will still oversee the kitchen at Murphy's, and Austin Rocconi is on board at Paces & Vine as chef de cuisine. The bar will focus on wine, craft cocktails, and local beer.
Murphy's second venture was previously rumored for the Chastain area.
