1) Inman Park: The third location for Grand Champion BBQ, set for Krog Street Market, will open in late September or early October. The menu will be limited compared to the other two Grand Champion outposts, and owner Robert Owens says the restaurant won't focus on style, but rather on quality meat. "We're trying to break the boundaries of regions," Owens told Atlanta Magazine. "Everyone's so focused on what kind of sauce, what kind of style. For us, our focus is the art of the slow-cooked, wood-fired meat, with the sauces being an accent."
2) Decatur: In the former Out of the Pan space at 105 Clairemont Avenue, a new Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant is coming soon. BBQ Tacorea will presumably feature Korean barbecue tacos, but there's no official word yet on the menu or a timeline for opening.
3) Dunwoody: Perimeter Mall is adding a couple of high-profile chains. Frozen yogurt purveyor Pinkberry and sandwich shop Panera Bread will soon open in the mall's food court. Both are expected to launch in time for the holiday shopping season.
