Jia Opening in Ponce City Market by January 15; Arepa Mia in Decatur on September 6

1) Old Fourth Ward: Jia, the Szechuan concept from Tasty China's Dahe Yang and executive chef Jiguo Jiang, is on track to open in Ponce City Market's Central Food Hall between November 15 and January 15. It will be the first restaurant to open in the high-profile development.

The menu will include traditional Szechuan cuisine along with Americanized Chinese dishes, and entrees will range from $8 at lunch to $12 at dinner.

2) Decatur: The second Arepa Mia location will open at 307 East College Avenue on Saturday, September 6. The Venezuelan sandwich shop, with its original restaurant inside the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, will be open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. from 3 p.m. In addition to its regular menu, a new element at this outpost will be Sunday brunch.
