1) Midtown: Filling the space left by Rice Box, Ah-Ma's Taiwanese Kitchen is now open next to Trader Joe's. The restaurant focuses on small plates and street food, with dishes like bao (steamed buns), rice plates, and soups. Ah-Ma's is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
2) Dunwoody: Memphis BBQ Co., with locations in Horn Lake, Miss., and Fayetteville, N.C., is up and running on Ashford Dunwoody Road. From World Hog Championship winner Melissa Cookston, the restaurant features barbecue staples like smoked pork, chicken, brisket, and ribs, and appetizers and sides such as cheese fritters, smoked wings, barbecue shrimp, and mac 'n' cheese. Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
