The opening of the of first Georgia outpost for heralded New York City-based burger chain Shake Shack has been slightly delayed. The restaurant, located in the Buckhead Atlanta mixed-use development, was scheduled to begin serving this Wednesday, but will instead open its doors next Tuesday, September 30.

Shake Shack comes from New York City restaurateur Danny Meyer and Union Square Hospitality Group. The first restaurant opened in Madison Square Park in 2004, serving burgers, flat-top dogs, frozen custard, craft beer, wine, and more.

A few Atlanta-specific menu items include the Pecan Pie Oh My (vanilla frozen custard blended with a slice of pecan pie from H&F Bread Co.), Campfire S'mores (chocolate frozen custard blended with marshmallow sauce, graham crackers, and dark chocolate chunks from Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Co.), and the Peachtree (a caramel-peach milkshake).

While you're waiting, take a first look at the space by scrolling through the photo gallery below. In addition to the highly anticipated cuisine, Shake Shack will follow the lead of so many Atlanta restaurants and offer a rooftop patio. The restaurant will accommodate approximately 110 people, with seating for roughly 60 on the patio and 50 in the downstairs dining room.
