Gypsy Kitchen, one of two forthcoming restaurants to be helmed by executive chef Randy Lewis, is scheduled to open on Tuesday, October 14. The sister restaurant to The Southern Gentleman is launching in the Buckhead Atlanta mixed-use development, and the menu focuses on small and shared plates with a Spanish feel.
Offerings include "snacks," soups, salads, shared entrees, and larger shared plates. Among the larger plates are Majorcan-style whole branzino; bone-in beef rib-eye with roasted red peppers, feta, capers, and preserved lemons; barrel-cut beef tenderloin with Catalan wilted kale; and a pork shoulder with sautéed Brussels sprouts with lomo-sherry cream.
It's the latest concept from Chris Hadermann and JP Piemonte (Big Ketch, Tin Lizzy's Smokebelly BBQ). Lewis will run the kitchen, which is to be shared by both restaurants.
Gypsy Kitchen will initially open for dinner, Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Once lunch service begins on Monday, October 20, the restaurant will open daily at 11:30 a.m., closing at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
