EAST SIDE — Atlanta Streets Alive is this Sunday, giving locals an opportunity to take to the streets on Boulevard, North, and Highland. The 4.5-mile loop will be closed to traffic and open to pedestrians and cyclists. Among the activities planned will be a bar and live music set up outside Across the Street from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the day will end with an after party at Masquerade. DECATUR — The inaugural Decatur Restaurant Week will from from Sunday, September 28, through Thursday, October 2. A variety of participating restaurants will offer prix fixe menus for $15, $25, and $35, including brunch, lunch and, dinner options. Prices are per person and exclude alcohol, tax, and gratuity. ALPHARETTA — Whole Foods at the Avalon mixed-use development will open on Tuesday, October 14. It's the eighth outpost for the upscale supermarket in the Atlanta area. Sneak preview tours will be available on October 10 and 11, and reservations can be made online. [EaterWire]
