New farm-to-hotel restaurant Savor Bar & Kitchen opens today in the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel. Executive chef Robert Chaffin and restaurant chef John Bjorge focused on their "desire to incorporate flavors from the Bayou, Gulf Coast, Low Country, and everything in between while still sourcing locally" to form a menu with shrimp, barbecue sauce, and malted pecan pie.
The previous restaurant included a bar upstairs, which was moved to the lower floor during an extensive three-month renovation of the restaurant space. A large, oval-shaped bar was moved downstairs, and the floor was raised to level the entrance to the outdoor patio. Baristas serve Starbucks coffee during the day and become bartenders at night with cocktails, local craft beers, and wines.
Savor serves food from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with a break between breakfast and lunch, and the bar is open from noon until midnight on weekdays, and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is the second "farm-to-hotel" concept to open in the city recently, following TRACE at the W Atlanta in Midtown.
