American Food and Beverage opens for dinner Thursday or Friday in the Buckhead Atlanta development. Jeremy Miller, the creator of Miller's Artisan Sodas and formerly of Bluepointe, STK, and Napa Valley's The French Laundry, is on board as executive chef. The opening comes after a slight delay: Service was scheduled to begin January 13.

The restaurant offers modern American cuisine with a local flare. Some dishes to expect include sorghum crispy Georgia quail; Heritage Farms braised pork shank, brined in sweet tea, with Red Mule grits and spiced tomatoes; and Carolina trout with pole beans, pecans, marble potatoes, and grain mustard sauce. Miller has said everything will be made in-house, and dinner items will be "very seasonal."

"American Food and Beverage is about honest American cooking," Miller said in a prepared statement. "We believe in supporting the local farmers here in Georgia and embracing the great culinary traditions of the South."

As for the beverage program: "The majority of spirits, beer, and wines are all American." The bar pours wines based out of Texas and a selection of local beers.

American Food and Beverage, located at 250 Buckhead Avenue, Suite 334, serves lunch, brunch, and dinner seven days a week. Check out the full menus below.
