Replacing Todd Stein, who left late last year to return to Chicago, Michael Bertozzi is on board as executive chef at Poncey-Highland's TWO Urban Licks. Bertozzi previously served as sous chef under Stein.
"I am looking forward to joining the team, extending the culinary tradition and continuing to offer our loyal patrons the best fiery American cooking in Atlanta", Bertozzi said in a prepared statement.
The restaurant will continue to "showcase wood-roasted meats and fishes with a touch of heat."
Bertozzi most recently cooked in the kitchen at King + Duke, and his resume also includes a stop at Central in Montgomery, Ala., a sister restaurant of TWO Urban Licks under the Concentrics Restaurants umbrella.
"Having Chef Bertozzi move up in the ranks at TWO is exciting! He is a nationally renowned talent and I am excited to see where he takes TWO," Concentrics owner Bob Amick said.
