The Cockentrice, local charcuterie king Kevin Ouzts' first restaurant, opens tonight in Krog Street Market. Featuring a selection of various cured meats from The Spotted Trotter, Outzs' butcher shop, along with cheeses and larger cuts, the menu is a celebration of protein.

Among the openers are black pancakes with duck confit, chicken skin gnocchi, and grilled beef cheek and gruyere bread pudding. Entrees and shared dishes feature a blue cheese-cured ribeye, lamb cube steak, and confit of suckling pig. Yes, there are plant-based dishes too. Look for items such as a winter vegetable plate, glazed winter squash, and sunflower seed risotto.

Where the restaurant really shows its Spotted Trotter influence is the list of contemporary charcuterie, prepared charcuterie, and cheese, with 22 options available. Take a look at the complete menu below.
