ALPHARETTA — Ray's at Killer Creek is hosting a Woodford Reserve happy hour on Monday, January 26. WESTSIDE — Join Preserving Place founder Martha McMillin on January 31 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., when she hosts a Canning 101 class for beginner canners. Attendees will learn the basics in the art of canning and each will take home two jars of what was made during the class (one sweet and one pickled). The goal of the class is for participants to leave with the confidence to be able to safely can in their own home, with both vinegar-based and sugar-based foods. The class is $95 per person. Reservations can be made online or by calling (404) 815-5267. [EaterWire]
