Couscous Closes Down in Morningside; Two Shutters in Midtown

The Mediterranean restaurant abruptly announced its shutter on New Year's Day.

1) Morningside: Couscous, which served "accessible Mediterranean food" at 560 Dutch Valley Road, has shuttered. The restaurant announced the news via Facebook on New Year's Day. (H/T: What Now Atlanta)

Sorry couscous fans we closed no more longer operating, thank you all for your support

Couscous opened in May 2013 and was run by the former Perla Taqueria team. Reasons for the closure aren't immediately clear, but the restaurant had received mixed reviews.

2) Midtown: Neighboring restaurants LPC and Joli Kobe Bakery are out of business in the Invesco Building at 1555 Peachtree Street. Joli sent an email announcement to customers, and LPC, formerly La Pietra Cucina, broke the news on Facebook.

Friends, Atlantans, Countrymen - lend us your ear. It is with great sadness that we announce that we are closing our doors for business here at LPC. Our last day will be Friday, 12/19. It was a pleasure serving you & yours. From the staff here at LPC we want to say thank you. It's been a wonderful & delicious ride. Ciao!
