Ecco executive chef Jonathan Beatty is leaving the restaurant at the end of this month. No reason was given, but Fifth Group Restaurants, Ecco's parent company, confirmed the move.
"We have enjoyed watching the growth of Jon's culinary talent at Ecco and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," Fifth Group partner and co-founder Robby Kukler said in a prepared statement sent to Eater Atlanta. "We've begun a national search for a new executive chef, and we're confident we will continue to provide the great guest experience Ecco has offered for eight years."
Ecco serves locally sourced, seasonal European cuisine. Beatty took over the kitchen in July 2013, replacing Craig Richards. He previously served as executive chef at Davanti Enoteca in Chicago.
