After first revealing plans a year ago, the Umi Sushi team is ready to open Himitsu, its semi-private cocktail lounge. Himitsu officially begins service tonight at 7 p.m., offering small plates come from Umi chef Fuyuhiko Ito and cocktails from cocktilas from Shingo Gokan and 2015 Bartender of the Year nominee T. Fable Jeon.
Co-owner Farshid Arshid previously told Eater Atlanta the vibe at Himitsu is meant to suggest "a place where James Bond and Sammy Davis Jr. would meet for a martini." Reservations, which can be made via email, are required to enter. Arshid and his partners scoured the globe to create the venture: designer Tom Dixon is based out of London, and Gokan has poured cocktails in New York and Shanghai.
Himitsu's regular hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
