Chef Adrian Villarreal, formerly of The Spence, is opening his first restaurant this Wednesday. Rreal Tacos settles in at 110 6th Street NE, and it's Villarreal's take on the modern taqueria, coming with a decidedly fast-casual feel. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner daily, and Villarreal calls it his "pursuit to redefine familiar and authentic Mexican cuisine."
We've been hearing about some of the chef's planned dishes, and now there's a complete menu to ogle. Eight varieties of tacos are available for $2.99 each, and add-ons range from complimentary options such as salsa roja and shredded cabbage to $0.50 toppings like sauteed peppers and onions and queso fresco. And for a dollar, Villarreal will transform that taco into a quesadilla. The bar will pour a selection of Mexican cocktails and beers, plus local suds from the likes of Red Brick Brewing and SweetWater Brewing Company.
Rreal Tacos begins service Wednesday at 11 a.m. Take a look at the menu below.
