O-Ku Sushi, helmed by former Umi Sushi chef Jackie Chang, opens to the public tonight in the new Westside Ironworks development. The restaurant is accepting limited reservations on day one, but it should be fully operational on Friday. It's the second outpost for the Charleston-based sushi house, taking up residence at 1085 Howell Mill Road.
O-Ku's sleek interiors and rooftop patio are complemented by Chang's expansive menu. In addition to a wide variety of sushi, look for starters, "chef's specialties," and hot entrees — foie gras and unagi really catches the eye. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 5 to 10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m. Take a look at the complete menu below.
