Jackson, Miss.-based chicken salad peddler Newk's Eatery is making more inroads in the Atlanta area. After opening a Dunwoody location in Perimeter mall last month, the chain will begin service this Monday at The Forum on Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners. The new openings follow local Newk's restaurants in Brookhaven, Druid Hills, Midtown, Lawrenceville, and Newnan.

"The greater Atlanta area is a prime home for a foodie brand like Newk's," Newk's franchisee Greg LaFoe said in a prepared statement. "I believe our emphasis on premium ingredients and our pairing of creative flavor profiles along with the time-tested family recipes of our brand founder will really speak to local diners here. We aim to keep growing even further into the market over the next five to 10 years."

Newk's currently operates 90 restaurants in 13 states, and it wants to grow to 200 locations in the next three years. In addition to its notable chicken salad, the fast-casual chain focuses on soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas.
