Mixed-use developments are all the rage these days, and Atlanta has another one on deck. Armour Yards, leased by SRS Real Estate Partners and developed by local firm Third & Urban, is in the works near SweetWater Brewing Company's headquarters between Armour Drive and Ottley Drive. The firm isn't ready to announce tenants yet, but talks are well underway.
"We are in active discussion with a local bakery/coffee operator and a handful of restaurants," Third & Urban partner Pierce Lancaster tells Eater Atlanta.

A total of seven buildings will house 275,000 square feet of loft office space, "original concept restaurants," collaborative meeting areas, fitness, and outdoor gathering spaces. The first ventures to open "will focus on the significant need for food and beverage outlets in the area," according to a release. Groundbreaking on the $70 million redevelopment took place in August, and the first openings should begin service early next year.
In addition to SweetWater and a few other businesses, the area is home to Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q's catering and commissary kitchen. Before founding Third & Urban, Lancaster and business partner Hank Farmer were executives at Jamestown Properties, the development firm behind Ponce City Market, Westside Provisions District, New York's Chelsea Market, and more major projects across the country.
