Richard Tang, who has served as a founding partner and general manager at Craft Izakaya, is no longer with the Krog Street Market restaurant. Tang confirmed in a phone conversation with Eater Atlanta he's parting ways on good terms, and he wants to focus 100 percent on his next project, Char Korean Bar & Grill.

After originally planning a fall launch, Tang now says Char will open in late January or early February. When it does, look for "traditional stuff like bo ssam, sea snail, spicy noodles," along with kimchi-pork belly fried rice, sweet potato tempura, and more Korean barbecue staples. Tang previously told Eater Atlanta the bar program will be ambitious: "I'm not saying we're going to go molecular, but we're going to go outside the box a little bit."

Craft Izakaya chef Jey Oh is consulting on the food at Char, but he's not a partner in the new Inman Quarter restaurant.
