Justin Van Aken, who had been serving at executive sous chef at The Cafe at Linton's, is no longer with the restaurant. PR for Linton Hopkins's Resurgens Hospitality Group confirmed the move, but no details on the split were provided, and there's no word yet on who might step into the position. Van Aken is the son of renowned South Florida chef Norman Van Aken, and he joined Hopkins's Atlanta Botanical Garden restaurant for its November opening.
Elsewhere in the Hopkins empire, Chris Edwards has been promoted from sous chef at Restaurant Eugene to chef de cuisine at Holeman & Finch Public House. The position was previously vacant, and day-to-day operations at Holeman & Finch were overseen by Jason Paolini, executive director of culinary for Resurgens Hospitality Group.
