Illegal Food is giving diners more opportunities to chow down on their burgers and weekly specials.

VIRGINIA-HIGHLAND — After much anticipation, Illegal Food opened in the former Bar Meatball space last week. Now, the restaurant is already extending its hours, adding another day of service. Dinner is now served Wednesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. [EaterWire]

BUCKHEAD — Vine & Tap is passing on some savings to patrons this week. In addition to $1 oysters from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the restaurant is offering 30 percent off bottles of red wine. [EaterWire]

SANDY SPRINGS — This Wednesday, Meehan's Public House is celebrating the life of Ryan Hidinger and The Giving Kitchen. At 7:30 p.m., chef Stephen Welch of will serve up a menu consisting of some of Ryan's favorite dishes, including seared foie gras, nam sad, uni pasta, bone-in ribeye, and sour patch cupcake. The dinner will be paired with SweetWater Brewing Company's Second Helping, made exclusively for The Giving Kitchen.
