Colletta is opening in Avalon this Thursday, bringing a second restaurant from the Charleston-based Indigo Road group to the Alpharetta development. Oak Steakhouse, another Indigo Road venture, opened in Avalon last October.

Executive chef Michael Perez, who also runs the kitchen at Indaco in Charleston, is serving up antipasti, pizzas, pasta, and a selection of wood-fired rotisserie meats. In addition to traditional entrees, the menu will feature four-course family-style meals. Look for dishes such as bone-in pork chops, whole trout, and rotisserie chicken. The restaurant will initially serve dinner only before adding lunch in April.

Like the food, the bar's wine and beer selection will have strong Italian influence. And thanks to Avalon's open container policy, there will be a sliding window where thirsty patrons can order cocktails to go.

Colletta is taking up residence at 900 Third Street in Alpharetta. See the full menu below.
