After serving as beverage director at chef Drew Van Leuvan's Seven Lamps since September 2013, Kevin Bragg is no longer with the Buckhead restaurant. Bragg is shifting his focus to Grain, which he helped open in Midtown last December. Madison Burch has been promoted in-house to take over the beverage program.
Bragg hired Burch at Seven Lamps last year in anticipation of opening Grain. "She's an incredibly talented up-and-comer and will do fantastic things at Seven Lamps," he said in an email to Eater Atlanta.
Bragg, Van Leuvan, Seven Lamps's Rob Caswick, and Cypress Street Pint & Plate's Billy Streck opened Grain in the former MidCity Cafe space, aiming to provide "an intimate atmosphere, thoughtful and inventive cocktail program, and eclectic bar bites menu." The bar offers local beers, craft cocktails, and wine, plus savory small plates and $1 oyster happy hour Monday through Friday.
