Chef Mihoko Obunai, who has been hosting her Ramen Freak pop-up at The Sound Table since October, will bring in another guest chef for Monday night's service. Spice to Table owner Asha Gomez will join Obunai in the kitchen for a "Spice to Bowl" dinner.
In addition to side dishes, Gomez plans to offer a vegetarian coconut-based ramen and Obunai will prepare a Japanese fried chicken variation, both for $10 per bowl. The bar will pour the Yakuza, a yuzu-infused cocktail, chilled sake, and Sapporo on draft. The action runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., or as long as the food lasts, and proceeds from the evening will benefit The Giving Kitchen.
