Ford Fry is at it again. Fry's Rocket Farm Restaurants, with seven restaurants already in business and an eighth announced to be in the works, is taking over the Abattoir space. The Southern-style meatery is closing on March 28, proprietor Anne Quatrano announced on Tuesday. Details are scarce at the moment, but a reliable tipster in the know confirmed the move to Eater Atlanta.
It will be Fry's third Westside venture. He currently operates JCT. Kitchen & Bar and The Optimist in the neighborhood, as well as No. 246 (Decatur), King + Duke and St. Cecilia (Buckhead), The El Felix (Avalon), and Superica (Krog Street Market). A sister restaurant to The Optimist is slated to open in Inman Park's Inman Quarter development later this year.
