1) OLD FOURTH WARD — Ramen Freak, chef Mihoko Obunai's weekly ramen pop-up at The Sound Table, will feature another guest chef tonight. Todd Richards of The Shed at Glenwood and The Pig & The Pearl fame will be on hand for a "Black Smoke" dinner. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Richards will prepare a tea-smoked duck ramen, and Obunai will dish out her Kurobuta Tonkotsu ramen. Available sides include kimchi, ramp, and octopus carpaccio; Kabayaki-style catfish; and more. There will be a limited number of bowls, and proceeds go to The Giving Kitchen.
2) WESTSIDE — Chef David Sweeney, formerly of the celebrated Dish Dive, will pop-up for lunch at Preserving Place from May 11 through May 15. From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sweeney will serve a five-course meal, with wine pairings, for $65. Two seatings are available for each day, and tickets can be purchased online.
3) BUCKHEAD — Bourbon Bar is launching a weekly Monday Night Brewing tap takeover. Appropriately, the bar features beers from the local brewer every Monday, offering pints for $5 and tasting flights for $12. Ham pairings — yes, ham pairings — to go with the flights are available for an extra $10.
