Bad Dog Taqueria, the Emory Village taco shop that opened in 2011, has received the go ahead to move forward with its second location. The City of Atlanta has issued Bad Dog a building permit for its new outpost, which will be located in Old Fourth Ward at 476 Edgewood Avenue, across Boulevard from Sister Louisa's Church.
To get neighborhood folks acquainted with its concept, Bad Dog Taqueria took over the kitchen at Joystick Gamebar, just down the street from the new restaurant, from September 2014 to March 2015. Joystick's kitchen now hosts Junk Food, chef Joey Zelinka's modern take on comfort food.
In addition to the full-service restaurant, the new Bad Dog will have a walk-up window to satisfy late-night taco cravings.
