Urban pL8, which closed in Westside last August, is getting back in the game. Owner Betsy Pitts will open a paleo-centric stall inside Krog Street Market. The new venture will focus on prepared foods and paleo meals available in individual and family sizes, and it will feature some of Urban pL8's old favorites.
"We walked into Krog Street Market and saw so many of our old customers, loved the space, and just knew it was fit," Pitts said in an email statement to Eater Atlanta. "We had just finalized our new concept and started looking at locations when we walked into Krog at the beginning or the year. It was just really great timing and love at first site."
Urban pL8 operated in Westside before its abrupt shutter. At the time, Pitts said the restaurant was evicted from its building over a technicality in the lease. The space eventually went to Souper Jenny, another local restaurant centered around healthy options.
Pitts hinted at a possible Urban pL8 revival on Facebook Thursday, and she hopes to open in Krog Street Market this fall.
