Mihoko Obunai's next Ramen Freak pop-up at The Sound Table will be a reunion of sorts. Jiyeon Lee, half of the brains behind Heirloom Market BBQ and Sobban, will join Obunai in the kitchen for a "Soul to Bowl" dinner Monday night. The duo last worked together at Repast, when the Obunai ran the kitchen and Lee cooked on the line at the long shuttered Old Fourth Ward restaurant.
Lee will be dishing out a braised oxtail and kimchi ramen, and Obunai will prepare a seafood-based Shoyu ramen and a seasonal local vegetable ramen. Look for sides such as Takoyaki — that's an octopus fritter — as well. Ramen Freak runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
