1) OLD FOURTH WARD — Minero, one of the biggest dining attractions coming to Ponce City Market, is on track to open this summer. Moving forward in the process, Southern mega-chef Sean Brock and David Howard of the Neighborhood Dining Group have filed plans to build out the Mexican street food restaurant, reports What Now Atlanta. Minero will take up residence in a 3,000-square-foot space, and the eatery will reportedly include a staircase and mezzanine. It's Brock's second Minero outpost, following the Charleston original that opened last fall.

2) WESTSIDE — Executive chef Handy Soenarto, formerly of Cumming's Rice Restaurant and Sushi Bar, is on board at Eight Sushi Lounge in Westside, according to Atlanta Magazine. In addition to sushi rolls, Soenato will reportedly serve up Japanese-style eggs Benedict, langoustine, sashimi, miso-glazed steak, and seared scallops. Ty Taylor, formerly of the Porter Beer Bar and the Wrecking Bar Brewpub, will handle the beverage menu. Eight Sushi Lounge is on track to open at 930 Howell Mill Road in August.

3) ALPHARETTA — Varasano's Pizzeria is adding an outpost inside North Point Mall, per Roots in Alpharetta. The 4,500-square-foot restaurant will include a patio, replacing the mall's office and watch store. In addition to the pizza, local beer and craft cocktails will be available. Look for a fall opening.
