A couple of shuffles for Tom Murphy's restaurants: Ian Winslade has been promoted to culinary director for Paces & Vine and Murphy's, and Ryan Burger is on board as chef de cuisine at Paces & Vine. Burger moves to the restaurant from Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn.
"I am very happy to be on the team at Paces & Vine. I have always admired Chef Winslade, his passion for quality and talent in the kitchen, and ability to create consistently great food," Burger said in a prepared statement. "I look forward to adding my ever-evolving approach towards food. I am also excited to implement all of the things I have learned along the way in my career farming, foraging and cheese making, as well as everything I have learned in my time in restaurants across the country."
Burger will run the day-to-day kitchen operations at Paces & Vine, working with Winslade on the restaurant's menu. Winslade, who co-owns the restaurant with Murphy, hopes to open two more casual eateries in the next couple of years, reports Atlanta Magazine.
Murphy opened his eponymous Virginia-Highland restaurant in 1980, and he and Winslade opened Paces & Vine in Vinings last October.
