Proof Bakeshop, the Inman Park bakery from the team behind Cakes & Ale, soft opened late last week, and it will be fully operational on Tuesday. It's closed today, but normal hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bakery takes over the former Dough space at 100 Hurt Street NE, just off Dekalb Avenue and around the corner from One Eared Stag.

Cakes & Ale bakers David Garcia and Abigail Quinn are running the shop, which serves as a central kitchen for baked goods at the Decatur restaurant and the forthcoming Bread & Butterfly. At Proof, look for breakfast and lunch items and sweets, including English muffins, hand pies, Danishes, French macarons, croissants, and seasonal muffins. A selection of sandwiches is available as well. Scope the opening menu below.
