Atlanta restaurant magnate Ford Fry has been talking about opening another local "Mex-Tex" restaurant, and now Fry is officially moving forward. He's filed plans to convert a former Outback Steakhouse into the third local outpost for the concept, reports Tomorrow's News Today and What Now Atlanta, following The El Felix in Avalon and Superica at Krog Street Market. The eatery will be located in the Buckhead Court shopping center at 3850 Roswell Road, Suite 100.

In addition the Buckhead restaurant, Fry is working on a steakhouse, Marcel, in Westside Provisions District's former Abattoir space, plus an Inman Quarter venture that will serve as a sister restaurant to Westside seafood house The Optimist. State of Grace, Fry's first Houston project, is in the works, as well.

Along with Superica, The El Felix, and The Optimist, Fry operates JCT. Kitchen & Bar in Westside, King + Duke and St. Cecilia in Buckhead, and No. 246 in Decatur.
