Doggy Dogg, owner James Hammerl's hot dog cart that pops up all around Atlanta, is growing up and expanding with a brick-and-mortar restaurant. The eatery is located at 310 East Howard Avenue in Decatur, just across the street from Kimball House. Hammerl hopes to open on June 15.

The new location offers take-away eats and a late-night pick-up window, Hammerl confirmed in an email to Eater Atlanta on Tuesday, and on-site dining will be available via the small restaurant's patio. Hammerl plans to be open seven days a week, with lunch service available Tuesday through Saturday and the late-night window open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Canned wines, local canned beers, and Dirty Potato Chips will accompany the menu of 10 hot dog options. Each version will be available as a veggie dog and/or with a gluten-free bun. Live, local bands will provide the weekend entertainment
Doggy Dogg, in business since 2011, dresses up the American classic by using local ingredients for toppings, sausages from The Spotted Trotter, and buns from H&F Bread Co.
