After a false start last weekend, Victory Sandwich Bar is ready to begin service in Inman Park. The restaurant will open its doors this evening at 5 p.m., co-owner Caleb Wheelus confirmed in a text message Wednesday morning. Victory is making a comeback to its original neighborhood, which it had to vacate in 2013 to make way for the Inman Quarter development. The new restaurant takes up residence in the former Park's Edge space at 913 Bernina Avenue NE.
Bob Townsend of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution first reported the opening date.
For now, Victory Inman Park will offer the same food and cocktail menu as the Decatur location. Wheelus said Sunday brunch is a possibility in the future, but details haven't been worked out yet. Shanna Mayo, who left Leon's Full Service for Victory Decatur last July, is in charge of the bar. Regular hours, which begin on Thursday, are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
