Ramen Freak, chef Mihoko Obunai's weekly pop-up that takes over The Sound Table every Monday, will go on a bit of a hiatus after tonight's dinner. Obunai said in an email to Eater Atlanta that she's taking time off this summer to travel home to Tokyo and embark on some culinary trips outside of the United States.
Tonight's pop-up, dubbed by Obunai as "Freak Out," will offer the chef's cold sesame mazemen and Tokyo shoyu ramen, in addition to small side dishes. Service runs from 5 p.m. until the food runs out. Obunai didn't give a return date, but said Ramen Freak will be back this fall.
