Tavernpoint, the forthcoming Midtown restaurant from Drew Van Leuvan and Billy Streck, among others, is on track to open in the former LPC space this summer. Conor O'Reilly, previously a sous chef at the now-shuttered Woodfire Grill, is on board to help oversee daily kitchen operations as chef de cuisine, according to a release.

Van Leuvan and O'Reilly will turn out a menu that features dishes such as Maine mussels and Spanish chorizo, heirloom tomato and summer melon salad, smoked Peruvian-style chicken, and grilled waygu skirt steak and fries. Madison Burch, formerly of Van Leuvan's Buckhead restaurant Seven Lamps, is in charge of the bar program, which will offer seasonal cocktails, local beers, and an extensive wine list.

Tavernpointe, located at 1545 Peachtree Street, Suite 101, will have an industrial feel, emphasized by steel frames and wood surfaces. A 2,500-square-foot patio will provide al fresco dining during Atlanta's warmer months. Van Leuvan and Streck, who is also co-owner of Midtown's Cypress Street Pint & Plate and working on an Inman Quarter restaurant, are partnered with Jeff Newsham, Rob Caswick, and Dave Pazienza.
