Spice to Table, former Cardamom Hill chef/owner Asha Gomez's Indian patisserie that opened in Old Fourth Ward's Studioplex last August, is getting back in the breakfast business. The restaurant originally opened in early before adjusting hours, but breakfast service will resume on this Monday, June 8.
On the menu, look for dishes such as appam (think of a thin pancake) and egg roast, vada sambar (fritters with a stewed sauce), idiyappam (rice hoppers) and stewed plantains, uttapam (a thicker pancake) and sambar, and Kerala-spiced coffee. The menu, like Spice to Table's lunch offerings, will rotate often.
Breakfast at Spice to Table will run Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., and lunch will continue to be available from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
