Celebrate Marriage Equality at These Atlanta Bars and Restaurants

The United States Supreme Court passed down a historic ruling Friday morning, making marriage equality the law of the land. For anyone looking to celebrate this weekend, the following bars and restaurants are offering specials and hosting events. This list includes what we've spotted so far, and we'll continue to update it as necessary.

Community Smith: The Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel restaurant is serving a specialty cocktail, called "Love Wins," all weekend. It contains Square 1 cucumber vodka, Fragoletta Antica wild strawberry liquor, champagne, lemon juice, and simple syrup and costs $9. Community Smith will donate $1 of each cocktail sold to the Atlanta Pride Committee. 866 West Peachtree Street NW.

Cooks & Soldiers: In honor of the momentous occasion, the Westside restaurant is pouring up a special cocktail dubbed "Berdina," Basque for "equal." The drink includes gin, blueberry peach shrub, blackstrap bitters, and cava. 691 14th Street NW.

Cowtippers Steaks & Spirits: A bonafide marriage efficient will be on hand Friday night for folks who want to tie the knot over a side of beef. 1600 Piedmont Road NE.

Craft Izakaya: For anyone looking to knock out a wedding ceremony and dinner in one fell swoop, the Krog Street Market Japanese eatery has an ordained minister on the service staff. 99 Krog Street NE, Suite X.

East Point Corner Tavern: Any purchase, starting Friday at 5 p.m. and running all day and night Saturday, comes with a free order of "We Can All Get Married" onion rings. 2783 Main Street, East Point.

Einstein's: This Midtown restaurant, just down the street from Piedmont Park, is giving away free rainbow cupcakes all weekend. 1077 Juniper Street NE.

Henry's Midtown Tavern: Henry's will celebrate Friday afternoon with drink specials and "an unparalleled amount of hugging." 132 10th Street NE.

InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta: The hotel, along with chef Art Smith of Southern Art & Bourbon Bar, is hosting 101 Weddings, a mass same-sex wedding and celebration on Sunday. The ceremony will be officiated by a yet-to-be-named celebrity guest, and the reception will feature 12 prominent Southern chefs, towering wedding cupcakes, and more. Tickets cost $75 and are available online, along with more information. All proceeds will benefit Georgia Equality. 3315 Peachtree Road.

Pallookaville Fine Foods: The Avondale Estates corndog emporium is adding rainbow sprinkles to all milkshakes, all weekend long. 17 N Avondale Road, Avondale Estates.

Park Tavern: Celebrate the marriage of legendary street performer Baton Bob and and his husband Gary Friday night at 9 p.m. The $15 tickets include two drinks, cupcakes, and ice cream, and the reception will include a silent auction, twirling and "gowns galore." Purchase tickets online. Proceeds benefit Open Hand and the American Diabetes Association. 500 10th Street NE.

The Lawrence: The Larry is celebrating equality Friday night with a special "Love Rules" cocktail. The beverage contains lavender mint vodka, honey, lemon, absinthe, and sparkling wine. 905 Juniper Street NE.

West Egg Cafe: The Westside breakfast favorite will be serving "Love Wins" rainbow sprinkle doughnuts during brunch on Saturday and Sunday. 1100 Howell Mill Road.
