With long time Midtown favorite Vini Vidi Vici now closed, a few veterans of the restaurant are moving forward with a new project. Ex-Vini Vidi Vici executive chef Jamie Adams and general manager Leonardo Moura will open Il Giallo in Sandy Springs this August, according to Atlanta Magazine. The new eatery, planned for 5920 Roswell Road, will reportedly serve coastal Italian fare.

Buckhead Life Restaurant group closed Vini Vidi Vici, which opened in 1993, late last month. Founder Pano Karatassos said at the time that the restaurant no longer fit with the group's overall plans: "... the growth of the company is moving in a much different direction. For more than five years, we have strategically concentrated our efforts on the development and expansion of our Atlanta and Florida ‘big box restaurants.'"
