With Tom McGuire at the Bar, Burn Social Club Opens Next Week in Buckhead

A new nightlife destination for Buckhead's glitz and glam is coming soon. Burn Social Club is set to open in the Andrews Entertainment District this Wednesday. The upscale venue has a big name on board in Tom McGuire, most recently bar manager at Craft Izakaya, who is running the beverage program, according to a release.

With McGuire at the helm, Burn's bar will offer a "flavored ice program" — whatever that means — along with an extensive list of martinis, more than 50 whiskies from around the world, boutique wines by the glass, and craft beers. There are no details on kitchen staff yet, but Burn will turn out "lighter fares, flatbreads, and signature dishes."

The nightclub will be open just four days a week — Wednesday through Saturday — from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Fitting with the neighborhood, men are required to wear collard shirts and "encouraged" to wear jackets.

Now that McGuire is out at Craft Izakaya, James Marques is serving as bar manager at the Krog Street Market Japanese restaurant. Marques previously worked the bar at Publik Draft House.
